Too many unknowns: I believe the two problems can be separate. Also, you do not specify when the sesamoid bone hurts you. RE: the sesamoid if painful on ambulation has many conservative approaches. If surgery required I had good success with surgically cutting the sesamoid in half with very good results as oppose removing the complete bone. a neurological exam is required for the other problem.
