Rotator cuff: @ your age pain w/ motion away from your body is most likely related to the rotator cuff.Tendinitis/ bursitis can also cause pain w/ sleeping on the affected side.The rotator cuff initiates abduction of the arm and are important " fine tuners" of motion, esp. External rotation in conjunction w/ the powerful deltoid. If your pain continues or u develop any weakness see your ors. Gl!
