If i take trustan (esomeprazole) to fix gerds. will it not flare up when you go off the tablet?

Esomeprazole.: Yes, very possible. It is a chronic medication, and has side effect. If H2 blocker like Pepcid is efficacious, then I would recommend using just H2 blocker rather than Proton pump inhibitor like esomeprazole.

Many people who stop taking esomeprazole or drugs like it experience worsened symptoms of GERD after they stop taking it because the body has been trying to create more stomach acid the entire time and then goes overboard at first when the medication goes away. You’ll want to check in with your doctor if you think you need it for more than around two weeks.
