A member asked:

I am 33 weeks pregnant and i just had a repeat fluidevel check and in 2 weeks it went from a 9 to a 5? i'm extremely concerned

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Close monitoring: When the fluid level is low pre-term, it needs to be followed closely with frequent ultrasound measurements and non-stress testing. Sometimes umbilical cord doppler studies are used to help make a decision about early delivery. Drinking lots of water can often improve this situation. With close monitoring, the outcome is usually very good. Best wishes!
