I was prescribed doxycycline & metrodiazonole for pid but the doctor returned saying i had bacteria in my urine. shouldnt i be on bactrim or another?

UTI treatment: The "bacteria in urine" problem might just be part of the PID. But if you do have a urinary tract infection as well, doxycycline usually is effective -- not usually the first choice treatment, but generally works well. Discuss with the doctor treating your PID. Good luck!
