Many body parts...: The left abdomen has muscles of the abdominal wall (and the nerves coming out of the spinal cord, going to the muscles), the stomach, spleen, parts of the large intestine (colon) and small intestine, the ureter from the left kidney to the bladder, etc... Pain can come from a variety of problems (such as diverticulitis, etc.), so anything other than mild brief pain should be checked by a doctor.

Needs assessment: Variety of possibilities. Could be muscular or tummy bug but could also be urinary infection or kidney stone or even a testicle problem. Please see a doctor for examination - may also need urine and blood tests and possibly X-rays or scans. Present to after-hours or Emergency urgently if testicular pain, fevers chills or the pain worsening.
