If i can do a direct biopsy of my polyp with the new goldstein sonobiopsy. can it test if it's cancer or precancer? i'm really trying to avoid surgery

The main: REASON for obtaining a BIOPSY is to determine the "threat" of the polyp (pre-cancer/cancer) in either of those cases removal of the polyp will be necessary however many polyps can be REMOVED by endoscopic means rather than surgery! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
