A member asked:

Im 26 and ive never experienced any serious period pains until 2 months back. i went to my primary gp & she said i shouldnt be worried, is she right? she did some test & nothing serious was found then she said i must use contraceptive pills?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trial of meds, yes: Oral contraceptive pills and a med like ibuprofen daily for three months is an important step to try. If this controls the pain , all good to know. If it fails to control the pain, conditions like endometriosis need to be considered.
