A member asked:

My eye doctor prescribed me acyclovir to take for my eye he wants me to take it 5 times a day or until finished how is this taken?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hmmm....: Answer depends on the big picture that only the patient's own doctor would see. Usually, the type of acyclovir, the size of the dose, and the number of times used each day... do vary depending on the illness and the condition of the patient. Acyclovir tablets taken 5 times a day (swallowed with water; not affected by mealtimes), are effective in a variety of conditions, in otherwise normal people.
