Time to see a doctor: Chest discomfort, weird chest spasms, or a new fast heart rate are signs that that she should talk with her doctor right away or go to the E.R. She should not drive herself (have someone else drive, or use ambulance). If it turns out not to be an abnormal rhythm, myocarditis, anxiety attack symptoms, a collapsed lung, or pneumonia, the E.R. will be able to start treatment quickly.
