VIN-3 v. HPV: At 60, VIN-3 should be carefully followed, as it represents a change in the nucleus of cells on the vulvar area. HPV as a new onset is uncommon at your age, and is a viral condition acquired by sexual relations. If there is a history of HPV, and a normal pap smears, the chances of progression to cervical cancer are small.
