I've taken clomid for 5 days on cd 3-7 & pregnyl injection on cd 14. now i'm on cd 40, 1 week late for period & took hpt result negative. am i pregnant or should i wait ? if i'm not pregnant why my period delays ?

HPT negative: Ovulation and fertilization may not have occurred immediately after the "pregnyl" injection, which of course delays the production of hormones of pregnancy. An HPT is not always able to detect small amounts of hormone, so get a serum HCG test in another week to be sure of pregnancy (or not). It is unusual for a 22 y.o. to need clomid/pregnyl cycles. PCOS may be the cause.
