It depends...: ...information you don't provide. E coli rarely causes vaginal infection and usually doesn't need any antibiotic. However, E coli in the vagina can predispose to urinary tract infections. Many or most E coli strains are resistant to amoxicillin; best antibiotic for UTI varies from case to case. Do not treat yourself with leftover or self-purchased amox or other antibiotic. Discuss w/ your doctor.
