Yes: Large hernias can be repaired. However, you state “hiatal” hernia. I believe you may not have this type of hernia, as you can only have 1 and it does not result in any visible bulge. I assume you are describing large abdominal wall hernias. the exact size of the defects, you overall health and your weight dictate the ability to undergo a repair and you risk of recurrence.
