Breast pain: Female hormones affect the breast tissue, and some women have "fibrocystic" changes in their breasts which can make the breasts tender. See your gyn provider for an exam. The use of low dose oral contraceptives can lower the hormone levels and reduce the effect on breast tissue, as they work to silence the ovaries, the source of the hormones.
