SEL: About 3/4 of spinal epidural lipomatosis (SEL) cases are associated with long-term corticosteroid use or obesity. Other causes include Cushings disease/syndrome, hypothyroidism, and prolactinoma (a pituitary tumor). A number of cases are idiopathic, with no known cause. http://thejns.org/doi/pdf/10.3171/foc.2004.16.4.12

Lipomatosis: One possible cause is that you own body makes too much steroid (this happens with some tumors, excess stress, and some other medications). Please have you doctor look into other causes.
