A member asked:

I noticed reddish slightly raised marks on the side of my thighs they don't look like vericose veins and aren't deep red and thin like spider veins. they look like thin stretch marks that are barely red and again slightly raised. what could they be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"stretch marks": "Stretch marks" are actually breaks in the underneath layer of connective tissue in your skin, and when they occur at first are like healing scars, which show up as slightly red, and which will fade and become white against the pigment of your skin. They are not harmful, but only of cosmetic significance.
