Till 3 weeks back, i was on escitalopram (20mg). but i was changed to sertraline (100mgx2 times= 200 mg per day). is it safe to start at this dosage, which i read is the maximum per day? should i reduce the dosage?

No: We can not double guess your doctor and advice you to reduce the dose.You have been switched from Escitalopram 20 mgm which is also high dose and that may be your doctor switched you to Sertaline 100 mgm twice a day.Discuss your concern to your prescribing doctor or psychiastrist
