A member asked:

4 yr. old girl with underarm odor. no other signs of puberty or growth spurt. checked by ped. what could cause this? thank you!

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Axillary odor: This can occur due to release of pheromones, hormones that increase due to natural sweating. Some have this more than others in their family history too. Keep dry with baby powder and pat dry as indicated. This may reoccur in puberty as well. Welcome to health tap, Dr. Ivy Fisher
