No connection: No connection between joint pain and underactive thyroid. See a doctor to find out what is the diagnosis for the joint pain. Where is the pain located and other medical exam issues related to a diagnosis of what is causing the joint pain.

Possibly.: Muscle aching and even joint inflammation can occasionally be associated with an underactive thyroid. The treatment is to restore normal thyroid hormone levels through thyroid replacement medications. If the pain persists then it is likely an unrelated issue.
