A member asked:

What is detrusor hyporflexia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weak contraction: An areflexic bladder is one that does not respond to fullness with any degree of contraction and does not empty at all. Hyporeflexia is a less severe degree of this, in which bladder is less sensitive to filling and produces weak contractions which aren't strong enough to completely empty the bladder. This leads to post void residual urine to varying degrees depending on severity of problem.
