A member asked:

i noticed a raised rash on my baby's neck, is there a prescription cream for this?

Yes: There are prescription creams for most rashes, however many rashes respond just as quickly to less expensive over-the-counter treatments, or even no treatment. Without an exam, it is difficult to prescribe an appropriate therapy.
Dr. Patricia Vuguin
Pediatrics 33 years experience
No: Please make sure that a doctor looks at the rash before using anything on the baby's skin.

Yes: Yes but...You need to make sure you are still getting plenty of calories. I'd recommend doing the common sense things - eating healthy foods, exercising, but not going crazy with calorie restriction.

Irritation: Well endowed women or women joggers can get a frictional dermatitis from movement of the breasts. Bra material or personal creams applied on the breast can cause an allergic reaction. If it is a persistent problem, it needs evaluation by your dermatologist.

What can a person do to treat or prevent constant heat rash breakout from(i assume) working all day in the unavoidable heat?

Dr. Robert Kwok

May be hard to do...: People try to live and work in conditions that their bodies are able to adapt to, but sometimes that is not possible. A primary care doctor and a dermatologist can help prevent and treat recurrent heat rash (miliaria treatment). Keeping the skin surface intact, healthy, and normal is important. That means not rubbing the skin with rough clothes, or getting industrial chemicals on them.

Vague: Unfortunately your symptom is pretty vague. You need to provide more information like duration, persistent or not, anything that flares it, any thing that relives it and so on and so forth...
