See Family physician: If you have drainage from your nose you may have sinusitis, that at night causes post nasal drainage and you wake up with a sore throat. But you may actually have a tonsillar infection that in your age must be ruled out not to be Strep. Please see your family physician and he may do a culture of your throat. If positive for Strep. you need to take antibiotics per your doctor.
