What's the cause?: Why do you cough? Nerves? A cold? Discuss this issue with your own dentist. Ask if your dentist uses "sweet air" which helps relax most patients and tends to make things easier for both the dentist and the patient.

Some : People feel like they need to cough because of saliva or water accumulation in the mouth. I find that focusing on breathing through your nose can help you resist that urge.
