At least a year: There are a few instances of people developing proven paraneoplastic illness, notably Eaton-Lambert, with the tumor only becoming detectable months later. This is the exception. You are welcome to request a paraneoplastic panel, but be advised that these syndromes are striking and even horrorific, not just "feeling strange."
