The EF is an: abbreviation for Ejection Fraction. It is a measure of the amount of blood ejected by the heart with each contraction. Normal is 50-55%. Greater than normal can indicate some things about cardiac function but usually it is not important. The main important finding is to be greater than 50%. Yours is a good result. Ask your health care provider for more information if you feel you need it.

Normal: This is a normal ejection fraction. The EF is the percentage of the volume of blood that is pushed out of the heart with each contraction.

EF: is the ejection fraction, usually with reference to the left ventricle of the heart, representing the percentage of blood volume pumped from the ventricle when it contracts. 65% is normal.
