Clarify: You had your period six days before or six days after sex? If period was six days before - are you referring to last day or first day of the period? If you had an actual period after intercourse - then you are not pregnant. Use protection every time if you don't want to become pregnant. If you are concerned about pregnancy - take a home pregnancy test.

See below: If you had your period after sex, you are not pregnant. If you had sex after your period, you could be pregnant. If you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex
