Appendicitis. : Symptoms of appendicitis usually begin with a dull pain about the belly button, which then progresses to a sharp pain in the right lower abdominal quadrant. A sharp pain can be associated with nausea and complete lack of an appetite. You can also get fever, chills and sweats. Blood testing would generally show an elevated white blood cell count.
