Very unlikely: DGI is uncommon these days, with only a handful of cases each year in the US. It usually occurs within a few weeks of catching gonorrhea. And almost all gonorrhea is cleared by the immune system within a few months, without antibiotic treatment. It is very rare for anyone to have gonorrhea for 3 years.
