White blood cells: The ranges are wide, espectially because white cells numbers vary rapidly and widely. As you might imagine, the absolute numbers count.

Laboratory reports: Neutrophils 40-60% and lymphocytes 20-40%. Yes absolute count is also important. Absolute ct of neutrophils below 500 is considered absolute neutropenia and carries significant risk for encapsulated bacteria.
