Is it of concern when triglycerides are at 178 mg/dl, hdl cholesterol @ 37 mg/dl , ldl cholesterol @ 101 mg/dl but total cholesterol is @ 174 mg/dl and vldl is at 36 mg/dl.?

You numbers indicate: A tendency to develop metabolic syndrome and/or worse, DM-2. Low HDL and elevated triglycerides are markers for insulin resistance! Cut your carbs!
