Little or no risk: Birds can carry certain infections that can be more dangerous in persons with severe immune deficiencies, but these are rare. Crohn's disease itself is not likely to increase the risk, but this could be an issue if she is receiving potent immune suppressing drugs. The usual drugs to treat Crohn's don't cause this degree of immune suppression, but check with her doctor if you remain uncertain.

Zero risk: Wild birds, especially gulls, can transmit psittacosis to anyone. Otherwise there is no special danger.
