Depends: There is not right or wrong diet for crohn's disease. Some people with crohn's have difficulty tolerating high fiber foods but not all. If her disease is active then a low residue diet might help. She also may have difficulties tolerating large amounts of dairy.

Food is important: Evidence suggests that what you eat affects the development and course of the disease. Unfortunately, there is not clear evidence that one specific diet is curative. Generally patients should pay close attention to what foods make their symptoms worse. Obviously avoid lactose and extreme roughage.
