Symptoms gone: If you followed the package directions or labelled physician medication directions likely cured the yeast infection. Consider lubricant during sex for easier penetration. If the itching , burning, and discharge has resolved the problem has gone. If not see a doctor for pelvic exam and cultures.

Rely on symptoms: Most yeast infections are not aquired from partners. Once your symptoms have cleared up, there is no problem having sex again. If new symptoms appear, recheck with your doctor. Otherwise don't worry about it. (It is normal for women to carry yeasts in the vagina. Treatment is needed only when they cause symptoms.)
