Placing rubber: tubing (catheter) is one possible option. Many women do fine with home-care and don't need surgical interventions.

Ward Catheter: Sometimes we just give abx to see if it will resolve on it’s own. But, if it’s causing pain, recurring, or >3cm, a Ward Catheter can be placed to help provide drainage. The opening will heal open and prevent recurrence. Another option is to drain it and suture the cyst open (marsupialization), allowing it to continue draining and prevent it from sealing up again. Good luck & take care.
