Let the surgeon know: The surgical team should know about your infection prior to surgery. It sounds like you are worried that you will not have time enough to take antibiotics prior to surgery. Let the surgical team make the decision about treating your infection first as that might influence the outcome of the surgery.

Inform doctor.: It would not be wise to undergo major surgery with an active infection. As well, a UTI can often be treated with just three days of antibiotics. You should notify your surgeon and/or regular doctor. You should not undergo major surgery in the context of an active infection.
