Hi i am a person who has sickle cell anemia and i was wondering if by any chance would i be able to join the military. i want to fight for my country?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trait or Disease: You have sickle cell disease, i.e., you are homozygous for hemoglobin S gene, you would not be able to join the military. If you have only one copy of hemoglobin S gene, you could serve in the military. A blood test can settle the issue.
