Gastroenteritis: This is most commonly a viral infection like rotavirus or similar agents, but the fever is a little disturbing, suggesting that perhaps he has a bacterial infection. Would keep him hydrated, use Imodium (loperamide) to try and slow diarrhea. It he is becoming dehydrated despite this go to doctor asap or if fever continues.
