A member asked:

When does the soonest effective window to test for hiv begin? i do not have any sores in my mouth, but i did brush my teeth an hour prior to exposure

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV testing. : Testing for the HIV antigen can be done as early as a few days after a potential exposure. Antibody testing will only become reliably positive after six weeks post exposure.
