Higher risk: Post surgical patients in particular lower extremity surgeries have higher risk of DVT for up to 3-4 months following surgery. If you fly be sure to get up and walk every 30 minutes or so. Don't need aggressive anti coagulant therapy but should be on aspirin to reduce risk.
