A member asked:

I'm anti-ssa antibody positive, but anti-ssb antibody negative. could i still have sjogrens?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps.: The diagnosis of Sjogren’s is not made by blood testing positivity or negativity alone, but by an accurate and thorough history and physical examination first. If you have symptoms consistent with Sjogren’s, then you could have it regardless of the blood test results.
