Is it normal to have pos ssb antibodies but neg ssa antibodies. the tests have been run 3 times. someone said if that happens the ssb is a false pos?

Why do you ask?: Ssb/la is seldom positive of ssa/ro is not. However, both are merely adjuncts in considering whether someone has sjogren's (which i take it is what is at question in your case). Rather than repeat a lab that won't be the basis for a clinical decision in any case, perhaps it's time for a minor salivary gland biopsy.
