Maybe: Dextrin could worsen dry eyes by keeping water in the gut with the passage of high-fiber stools. However, sounds like the primary eye problem has not bee sufficiently addressed for her to be sensitive this. Are artificial tears an option for her? Are other medications (like antihistamines) used that are drying? Is there inflammation of the eyelid? Eye doctor should be able to help
