Hi dr's, i have been exposed to hsv2 i have done all necessary test from 1 week to 5 months exposure. the 5th month test all came back negative can this test be reliable. the only thing came back negative is hsv1. please help me i am freaking out?

HSV2 negative: If your negative test at 5 months was a type specific blood antibody test, the result is conclusive and means you did not catch HSV2. In much of Asia, up to 90% of people have positive blood tests for HSV1. I don't know about Malaysia, but that result probably is unrelated to the sexual exposure. Are you sure you were exposed to HSV2 and not genital HSV1?
