You should: have an "in person" consultation with your GYN and a vaginal smear/culture to rule out NON-STD infection (eg Yeast, Bacteria.... Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Hard to know: the skin and mucus membranes in the genital area are sensitive at baseline and contact irritation is common. however, there are many potential problems at play here and examination by a physician is recommended to identify and treatable issue.
