It gave me options as to what it could be but im not sure how an xray or ctscan will diagnose me?

Imaging studies. : An X-ray or CT scan of your foot and ankle (maybe even an MRI) can let us know if there’s any anatomical/structural derangement causing your symptoms. This, along with some blood testing for inflammatory markers, can help us to elucidate some diagnostic possibilities as to your symptoms.
