Be safe: for now I would only recommend any OTC antifungal cream such as Lotrimin ( clotrimazole ), actually even sold at the Dollar Tree and Dollar store. Apply a large pea size drop of cream on a Q-TIP and apply and massage into the area. No pills! You may lose the hard nail; however small amounts of antifungal cream will not hurt you. Do not attempt to remove the nail yourself.
