LPR: Laryngopharyngeal reflux in my experience is not treated surgically and unfortunately may not respond to PPI medications like prilosec or nexium which are effective for GERD. Nevertheless they are worth trying. Consultations with a gastroenterologist and an Otolaryngologist may be helpful for more advice.
