Rx suggested: You should eat at high fiber foods, use topical hemorrhoid ointments available over the counter at the pharmacy, soak in warm sitz baths, and take pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen as prescribed on the package. More extensive treatments such as rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy, laser treatment, or surgery may be considered by a primary care physician in a clinic.
