Consider change: Consider change to estrogen patch. To get a small dose you can cut the patch in half. Estrogen absorbed through skin enters the central circulation without first- pass portal vein through liver. This mimics the normal release of estrogen from the ovary. Oral use of estrogen must pass through liver which may account for some of the risks. I am not sure how this may relate to your hormone: discuss
